These pages contain texts for the multilingual Liebeslied (Love Song) by Bodo Wartke. Check out youtube for a live English version or a couple of German live versions if you don't already know it. It is basically a song which has one verse only - and this verse is then translated into some 60+ languages, spiced up with a selection of German dialects. In other words a real treat for language lovers!
The translations given here are usually quite literal - after all the verses have basically the same contents anyway, so the interesting details are better shown by a literal translation.
More texts (including dialect versions), with less accuracy, are available on bodowartke.slip-up.de. There are also karaoke versions of the song in mp3 available for download from the official Bodo Wartke web site.
